“Don’t teach everything you know”
I heard the above statement from many in the industry & academia.
I always had a strong disagreement with this statement.
The so called “Everything you know” – Is this a fixed bundle of Knowledge? Skills? Techniques? that limit or restrict us from exploring and expanding our horizon?
Isn’t there Learning in the process of Sharing, Training & Mentoring ?
Is it just giving away? Are we restricting our growth with this thinking?
Knowledge and Skills are continuously evolving like the Stars in the Universe. Their Intersection creates new Constellations. Restrictions create unnecessary Constipation.
Let’s choose the wisest one.
The more we share knowledge, skill & competence, it compounds.

So, where is the luxury of holding the treasure with you for 2–3 decades and keep people going around you for ages ???
